Proving she was always destined to go for gold, pictures have surfaced of Katie Ledecky meeting both Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps as a kid. No, we’re not jealous—yes, yes we are very jealous. It’s OK. We’re OK.
In one picture, Ledecky is literally being held up by No. 23 himself, a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Ledecky beat out M.J. for number of golds this year, earning her second and third medals in Rio. Sorry, Jordan. Maybe time to get back in the game?
Jordan played on the gold medal-winning American basketball teams in the 1984 and 1992 Summer Olympics, way before Ledecky was even born.
Fast forward a few years and a 9-year-old Ledecky met Phelps at an autograph signing. She has some catching up to go to rival Phelps’ 21 gold medals. At only 19, though, she might have time. Get it, girl.
