Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Asking a Chicagoan “how much pizza can you eat?” is a dangerous proposition, but Eataly has thrown the gauntlet. On Friday and Saturday, the Italian food purveyor is opening up a can of worms by throwing two all-you-can-eat pizza parties.

Welcome to the Hunger Games.

For $35, you’ll have free rein over wood-fired Neapolitans, fluffy Roman-style pizza alla pala and even panzerotti, deep-fried pizza pockets akin to calzone. While not a pizza, focaccia will also be available, because of course you need more bread.

Your pizza pass nets you unlimited pizza, plus an adult beverage for guests 21 and older. Italian vino, brews from La Birreria (Eataly’s on-site microbrewery), negroni granitas and spritz cocktails will be on offer.

So there’s not a mad stampede for pizza, Eataly is offering staggered start times beginning at 5 p.m. both days. Visit the website to reserve tickets for your preferred seating.
