A man was stabbed near the 47th Street CTA Red Line station on the South Side on Monday morning.
A 30-year-old man and his 55-year-old male acquaintance were near the station, at 220 W. 47th St., when they got into an argument around 6:10 a.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
The two men were apparently drinking, and the older man pulled out a knife during the argument, stabbing the younger man, Estrada said.
The 30-year-old suffered cuts to his neck and the right elbow. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
The older man suffered a minor cut to his right hand. He was taken into custody, and charges were pending against him, Estrada said.
