Burning body of woman found in Far South Side alley

A woman’s body was found burned beyond recognition in an alley on the Far South Side early Tuesday, according to authorities.

Chicago police and fire crews responded to a rubbish fire in the 10000 block of South LaSalle Street about 6 a.m. and found the body there naked, authorities said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. No one was in custody.
