We all knew first lady Michelle Obama had a sassy side, and we have all tried to copy her side-eye. But she’s bringing the sass full force to James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” on Wednesday. We’re not ready … or worthy.
In a teaser for the upcoming clip released by “The Late Late Show,” the show’s host drives up to the White House for a tour, when Obama hops in the front passenger seat and shocks the living crap out of Corden, who is all of us.
The two start their jam sesh with the classic “Get Your Freak On” by Missy Elliott, as any good drive with your gal pals should. Michelle Obama explains that she hasn’t been able to “rock out” since Sasha learned to drive. #MomProbs, right? Though it’s a little hard to believe Sasha and Malia wouldn’t be down with a little Missy.
“That was the only time in seven and a half years that I’ve been in the passenger seat, listening to music rocking out like this,” the first lady said.
Toward the end of the teaser we see Obama and Corden rocking out to “Single Ladies”, famous Yonce hand moves and all. I have never felt more alive than watching those 5 seconds. Wednesday night can’t come soon enough.
