Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If you drove past the shady intersection of Central Avenue and 4th Street on June 14, you might have seen 8-year-old Georgia Andrew and her lemonade stand. After getting permission from her mother, Michelle Andrew, Georgia talked about summertime, pets and other things with the Wilmette Life.

Q: Tell us why you decided to set up a lemonade stand today – what are you going to do with the money you make?

A: I think I’m going to donate the money, maybe to a pet shelter.

Q: Do you have a pet?

A: Yes. He’s a dog. His name is Scout, and I think he’s 6 years old. I would say that sometimes he can bark a lot, and that’s irritating, but he’s a very sweet dog.

Q: Since we’re talking about animals, what animal do you think you’d like to be, if you could transform into one?

A: I think I would pick a hamster, because they’re small, and you could easily slip into cracks and go places and no one would see you.

Q: Summer vacations are coming up. Which would you like best as a vacation – camping, a road trip, or a visit to an exotic location?

A: I’ll pick camping. There are so many plants and animals you can see when you camp. I’d probably camp near the ocean, so I could go scuba diving. I think I’d look for sand dollars, which are really neat, and for interesting rocks, and broken things from shipwrecks.

Q: Finally, do you have any plans for July Fourth?

A: I think we may go to the beach and watch the fireworks!
