Serena Willaims crushed her first-round opponent Tuesday at the French Open.

But none of her shots there could compare to the dazzling tennis she displayed on her trick shot video.

Working with the Dude Perfect guys, Williams nails a water balloon suspended across the court, knocks a tennis ball can off a guy’s head and then, in a dramatic finale, uses an enormous racket to knock an oversized ball into a basketball hoop.

In the video, she is asked what her name would be if she, like her sister Venus, were named after a planet. Her answer, confoundingly, was: “Venus.”

“So there would be two Venus Williams?” the Dude Perfect dude asks.

“Well,” she explained, ” I wouldn’t want to be Earth or Mercury.”

Dude Perfect is a group of guys from Texas A&M University who managed to turn their obsession with trick shots and comedy into a business.

In her full-time job on Tuesday, Williams defeated Magdalena Rybarikova 6-2, 6-0. The match took a mere 43 minutes — 36 minutes longer than her trick shot video.
