The Hampshire Fire Department responded to a crash involving a boy on a bike and a vehicle at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, at Jake Lane and Bruce Drive in Hampshire, officials said.
“The child was transported to Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin with what appeared to be not life-threatening injuries,” said Hampshire Deputy Fire Chief Trevor Herrmann.
The incident occurred in a residential neighborhood where the posted speed limit is 30 mph, officials said.
