Although the White Sox bullpen struggled mightily in losing two of three games against Texas this week, the same cannot be said about their bullpen catcher.
In the top of the fourth inning Wednesday, Sox infielder Brett Lawrie smacked a home run into left-center to give his team the lead. Which was not nearly as impressive as bullpen catcher Adam Ricks snagging the ball. With one hand. While seated. And barely flinching.
He just raised the bar for everyone who ever hopes to catch a home run ball. Though in all seriousness, there’s nothing wrong with trying to catch it with two hands. Stay safe out there, folks.
