Three teens are facing misdemeanor marijuana charges after Portage police stopped them at the Creekview Apartments complex on Monday, authorities said.
Police were called to an area near the apartment complex after hearing of a disturbance, according to a police report said. They later learned of a possible underage drinking party nearby, police said.
As police investigated the call, they saw two teens walking away from the scene and drove their squad car toward them, the report said, One of the teens started running, the report said.
Police caught the 19-year-old and an officer threatened him with his gun drawn and, later, a stun gun before he became compliant, the report said.
One teen, 18, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possesson of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Another, age 19, was charged with misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana. A third was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possesson of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
