Ellen DeGeneres likes to prank people on her syndicated talk show. In the latest episode of “Kevin the Cashier,” she sends her writer, Adam, to a Cubs gift shop at Wrigley Field to dupe unsuspecting customers.
Although Adam eventually lets everyone in on the joke, what he does while trying to “help” them is both hard to watch and hilarious. He tries to trick customers by giving them the wrong shirt size, turns a regular hat into an “ice cream sundae” hat and asks people to “describe the bar code” on a sweatshirt, among other things.
Warning: The video is just as cringeworthy as expected. All your worst nightmares of interacting with people come true in less than five minutes. Good luck.
Full disclosure: RedEye has pranked Cubs fans as well: Take a look. It’s all in good fun, but remember, people: it’s OK to admit you don’t know something.
