Adam Schefter posted a statement attributed to Bradford that says,, “I’m excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season: I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less.”
Bradford’s return was first mentioned by defensive end Connor Barwin on 94.1 WIP radio this morning.
Bradford had missed the first two weeks of workouts after requesting a trade through his agent. That request came after the Eagles traded up six spots in the first round of the NFL Draft and selected quarterback Carson Wentz of North Dakota State with the second overall pick.
“He’ll be here today – I talked to him,” Barwin reportedly said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I think I’m like the Sam Bradford news [organization] – reporting for Sam, but he’ll be here today ….He texted me and said, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait, man.'”
ESPN also reported that Bradford was back, saying he arrived at the NovaCare Complex in south Philadelphia early this morning.
