Sherry Stednitz of Burr Ridge is a front desk worker at the Burr Ridge Park District, where she answered these questions.

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: Chicago, near Midway Airport.

Q: When did you move to Burr Ridge?

A: 1996

Q: What did you want to grow up to be?

A: A dancer

Q: What dashed that dream?

A: My dad convinced me I would not have a career in long gowns.

Q: What is the best part of your job?

A: Meeting people, assisting the residents. There are a couple of seniors I really enjoy interacting with. The little kids will make me things in class.

Q: Do you have any children?

A: Two kids. One went to college at Kansas, the other is full time at Iowa State.

Q: How about pets?

A: We got a hairless cat. My daughter has one and when she went away to school she said she wasn’t sure if we were more upset with her leaving or the cat. The one we have (Olli) is like a combination of a dog and monkey. We fell in love with him.

Q: What reality show would you be on?

A: Anyone about paranormal research.

Q: Who would play you in a movie about your life?

A: Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) from “That ’70s Show.” Anytime I watch it with my kids they say, “That’s you.” I see myself in her a little bit.

Q: Favorite charity?

A: I have several, but I would say the American Cancer Society. My dad died of lung cancer.

Q: Favorite store?

A: T.J.Maxx. They have anything you could ever want. They have new and unique things. It is always different every time you go in there.

Q: Favorite restaurant?

A: Cooper’s Hawk for its consistency. You know whatever you get, it will be a quality meal.

Q: Words of wisdom?

A: Always be able to see the humor in things.
