Major league pitchers now know the secret to shutting down Kris Bryant: Have him spin around in circles before each at-bat.
Obviously that’s never going to happen, but that dynamic was in play for the Cubs third baseman in a Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen video released Wednesday. Bryant teamed with Kansas City’s Mike Moustakas against the guys of Dude Perfect, the YouTube trick-shot sensations, in three challenges.
Bryant and Moustakas bested the competition in both the home-run derby and dodgeball. However, in the “winner take all” egg toss challenge, Bryant had a hard time hitting the target with his eggs after spinning 10 times around a bat. Dude Perfect emerged victorious, though a closer look at the video shows Bryant miiiiiight have been holding back somewhat. He’ll get ’em next time.
