The UFC continues to fill up its fight card for its next visit to the United Center.
Lightweight Tony Martin (10-3) will square off against Michel Prazeres (19-2) on July 23. Martin, 26, has eight wins by submission and five first-round finishes and won his most recent bout, on Jan. 30.
Prazeres, a 34-year-old full-time Brazilian military officer, has won three of his last four bouts and has recorded eight first-round finishes and seven wins by submission during his career.
The UFC previously announced five other fights for that night’s card: suburban Chicago native Felice Herrig vs. Kailin Curran (strawweight), Ryan LaFlare vs. Alexander Yakovlev (welterweight), Hector Urbina vs. George Sullivan (welterweight), Alex Oliveira vs. James Moontasri (welterweight) and Luis Henrique vs. Dmitry Smolyakov (heavyweight).
Fox will carry the main fight card live; the main event and order of the bouts has yet to be determined.
