
Oracle is about to make another acquisition out of Deerfield. It will buy construction software maker Textura for about $663 million, the companies announced Thursday.
Textura had 580 employees at the end of 2015, according to its public filings.
Its collaboration software for the construction industry will allow Oracle to create a global business unit with cloud-based tools for managing every phase of engineering and construction projects, Oracle said.
The deal is expected to close this year, the companies said. The Silicon Valley software leader acquired BigMachines

out of Deerfield in 2013.Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) will pay $26 a share for Textura (NYSE: TXTR), which closed at $19.89 on Wednesday.
Founded in 2004, Textura went public in mid-2013, enjoying an early rising stock price followed by ups and downs starting in early 2014. In February, the stock hit a low of $13.13 before bouncing back somewhat.
Its revenue was $86.7 million in 2015, up from $63.0 million in 2014, according to its annual report. But it has not yet posted a profit.
