Into It. Over It., The World Is A Beautiful Place…, The Sidekicks and Pinegrove
Lincoln Hall

The hands-down best rock bill of the spring. Get there early for Pinegrove, who have my favorite album of 2016 so far with “Cardinal.” (These four incredible bands are also playing a sold-out show Saturday, April 30). 7:30 p.m. $16.50-$20. 18+.

Before this husband-and-wife duo moved to Austin, Texas, and formed Cross Record, Emily Cross and Dan Duszynski were Chicagoans and staples in local bands (Gold Motel, Any Kind). This homecoming show will be their former city’s first taste of their band’s expansive and pretty “Wabi-Sabi” album in person. 10 p.m. $10-$12. 21+.

White Denim
Thalia Hall
1807 S. Allport St. 312-526-3851
I love all bands that sound like Thin Lizzy’s “Jailbreak.” Also, as someone who’s seen Austin’s White Denim live several times, I’m curious to see how its new lineup translates to the stage now that Austin Jenkins and Josh Block are touring with Leon Bridges full time. If White Denim’s new record is any indication, the new members are fitting in nicely. 8 p.m. All ages. Sold out.
