Bursts of poppies, clusters of violets, cascading rose petals and more accent a new line of cards and stationery by U.S. retailer Paperless Post. These pretty floral prints — available in both digital and paper formats (as Paperless Post is no longer purely paperless) — are colorful and tasteful, capturing the romance of a well-cultivated English garden. And if they look at all familiar, it’s because they’re heritage prints plucked straight from the archives of Liberty of London, the iconic British design house founded in the late 19th century.

Liberty’s high-quality Tana Lawn fabrics (finely woven, lightweight cotton) can be rather costly, but a series of collaborations with companies such as Target, Uniqlo and Nike have brought the distinctively British brand to a new audience — at a more affordable price point. All that easy access has turned the prints into more than perennial spring/summer style notes — they’re positively on trend.
Spirited and fresh, the 100 greeting cards, invitations, announcements and wedding suites — for everything from garden parties to nuptials to baby showers and beyond — are as springlike as it gets. And while e-cards and e-invitations are available, the collection has us inspired to put actual pen to actual paper … maybe even organize a seasonal soiree just to justify their use.
