It will take at least another month before Kane County officials can complete a sex offender evaluation for a former East Aurora High School employee.
The man was charged last year with having a sexual relationship with a student, according to court records.
In February, a judge ordered 32-year-old Jose Corona to be assessed by the Kane County Diagnostic Center as part of his case involving multiple criminal sexual assault and sex abuse charges related to allegations that surfaced in August.

An April 15 letter from the center indicated the evaluation had not yet been completed, but suggested it could be finished by Corona’s next court appearance May 20. He remains held in Kane County Jail on $40,000 bail, and has not yet been arraigned since his January indictment on a total of 25 counts.
Corona is also charged with misdemeanor battery accusing him of improperly placing his hand on the body of a second female student whose complaint led to an investigation.
Corona worked at East High as a truancy liaison at the start of the school year when he approached a 17-year-old female student to ask for her phone number, according to authorities. The teen later told investigators she thought Corona was a high school dean, that the pair had sex in his office the day after their first meeting and that Corona had sex with her at least three times a week until he was suspended from his job, court records show.
East Aurora School District officials previously said Corona was placed on paid leave Oct. 22 when a female student came forward to report inappropriate contact with Corona. He resigned Nov. 12, the same day police interviewed the 17-year-old. Aurora police, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the Kane County Child Advocacy Center were involved in the investigation.
