A 40-year-old Gary man was shot to death Saturday night in the Glen Park area of Gary.
Gary police found Jerome Long shot multiple times around 9:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Monroe Street, authorities said. He was taken to Methodist Hospital Northlake, where he died at 11:28 p.m., according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
An autopsy confirmed Long, of the 800 block of Tennessee Street, died of a gunshot wound, and the death was ruled a homicide, according to the release.
Police said another man was shot in the leg and a private vehicle took him to the hospital.
