
A man was killed and at least 14 other people, including a 13-year-old boy, have been wounded in separate shootings in the city since late Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
The 33-year-old man was shot and killed about 1:25 a.m. Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
Police officers responded to a call of a person shot near 13th Street and South Central Park Avenue and found an unresponsive man on the ground.
The man, identified by family as Fredrick Lee Blount, had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Blount was standing next to his red Audi Q7, which was parked on the east side of Central Park, when he was shot. He ran across the street and collapsed near the stop sign at the southern corner of 13th and Central Park, police and family said.
Police found five shell casings near the Audi. There was trail of blood from the middle of the street to Blount’s body.
No one was in custody in connection with the shooting.
The 13-year-old boy was walking across the street in the 7300 block of South University Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood when he was shot, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.
The shooting happened at 8 p.m. Saturday when a white sedan pulled up and three people got out of the car and began firing. The boy was shot in both legs and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago medical center where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
Most recently, five people were wounded in separate shootings in the span of about 35 minutes.
About 4:50 a.m., a 30-year-old man was shot inside a restaurant during a robbery in the Parkway Gardens neighborhood, Alfaro said.
Three males entered the restaurant in the 6300 block of South King Drive and announced a robbery. The attackers stole the man’s jewelry, and as the attackers left, one of them fired shots, striking the man in the left arm, hand and left ankle, police said.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
About 4:20 a.m., a 26-year-old man was wounded in the 7200 bock of South Aberdeen Street, Alfaro said.
The man was standing on the sidewalk when someone fired shots from a passing black vehicle, striking him in the back and right foot. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said. The shooting is believed to be gang-related, according to police.
About 4:15 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the Englewood neighborhood, Alfaro said. The man was in a vehicle in the 200 block of West Marquette Road when a male occupant in a gray sedan fired shots, Alfaro said.
The man was struck in the right shoulder, and drove himself to St. Bernard Hospital in Chicago, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
Around the same time, two men were wounded in a shooting in the West Town neighborhood, police said.
The men, ages 23 and 22, were in the 600 block of North Ashland Avenue when both were shot in the leg. A passing driver took them to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

In other non-fatal shootings:
A 36-year-old woman walked into Little Company of Mary Hospital with a graze wound to the toe after apparently being shot in Lakeview East early Sunday, police said. She was being uncooperative with investigators, but police said she was shot at about 6:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Broadway.
About 12:35 a.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was wounded in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, Alfaro said.
The man was in a rear seat of a vehicle in the 5000 block of West Monroe Street when he heard gunshots and realized he was struck, Alfaro said.
He was shot in the wrist and managed to get to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
About 10:15 p.m. Saturday, a man, 38, was wounded in the West Englewood neighborhood, Alfaro said.
The man was standing on the front porch of a home in the 6900 block of South Damen Avenue when someone fired shots from a dark-colored sedan, Alfaro said.
The man was shot in both arms but refused medical attention, Alfaro said.
About 8:10 p.m., an 18-year-old man walked into Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park after getting shot in the Gresham neighborhood, Alfaro said.
The man told police he was walking in the 1500 block of West 89th Street when he was shot in the left shoulder, Alfaro said.
His condition was stabilized at the hospital, Alfaro said.
The man was uncooperative with officers, and no other information was available.
Earlier, a 22-year-old man was wounded at 6:05 p.m in the 4100 block of West Grenshaw Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, said Alfaro.
The man was shot in the chest and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to police. He was on the sidewalk when two males approached on foot and began firing, Alfaro said.
Two men were shot in the 6700 block of Normal Boulevard in the Englewood neighborhood at 3:10 p.m., said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Lemmon said. A man, 20, was shot in the back and had a graze wound to his arm and was taken to Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
Earlier, a man was wounded Saturday morning in the South Shore neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
The 23-year-old man was in the 2000 block of East 71st Street when he was shot at 11:20 a.m., according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.
The man was shot in the ankle as a white SUV drove past and someone inside fired shots, Sedevic said. The man was taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, she said.
No one was in custody in connection with the shootings, and police were investigating.
