You can draw Chicago’s boundaries by neighborhood, by street or by baseball team.
In a map created by VividSeats, the age-old, north-south rivalry of the Cubs and White Sox is holding strong geographically. The site analyzed ticket sales from 2013-15 and broke down the data by ZIP code. The result is Cubs fans holding down the fort everywhere north of the Loop.
The Sox reign supreme most places south of Roosevelt Road, with only two ZIP codes (60637 and 60643) betraying their neighbors with Cubs allegiance. Don’t tell Chance the Rapper.

There are only two areas where loyalties are split: ZIP codes 60623 and 60632, Cubs and Sox alliances are about even.
While this may not come as a shock to anybody, the dividing lines make sense. So maybe picking a team to back is just as simple as typing your address into Google Maps.
Baseball rivalries will never die, and they sure make for entertaining Crosstown Classics.
