Gary police say a 15-month-old boy who was taken at gunpoint from a foster home late Monday night has been found.

Gary Police spokeswoman Lt. Dawn Westerfield said Tuesday that Timothy Jackson Jr. was taken from the home in the 2000 block of Waite Street around 11:20 p.m. Monday by two men whose faces were covered. She said in a statement late Tuesday that Timothy had been located.

“Our thanks to all who assisted in his safe recovery,” Westerfield said in the release.

Westerfield said earlier that police were concerned for the young boy’s safety and well-being.

Westerfield did not release further information about the case.
