Little Caesars is bringing the “Hot-N-Ready” pizza to Harwood Heights.

The Detroit-based pizza chain, known for its $5 “Hot-N-Ready” pickup specials, is the latest of three fast food chains offering quick-serve pizza to open in Harwood Heights during the past year.

Little Caesars, set to open April 5 in a strip mall at 4832 N. Harlem Ave., follows a Lou Malnati’s carryout location at 7125 W. Gunnison St. and Buona Beef, which serves personal-sized pizza alongside Italian beef, at 7343 W. Lawrence Ave.

Harwood Heights is the seventh Little Caesars location to open in the northwest Chicago area, according to Rebecca Liske, marketing manager for the chain’s Midwest area. Those locations have been successful, she said.

Little Caesars moved into the former storefront occupied by a locksmith company, next to Taryn Nails and directly across from another strip mall with resale store Plato’s Closet, Papa John’s, Subway and a liquor store.

The opening will be celebrated until April 10 and customers can enter to win an iPad mini 4 and other prizes. Two customers can win free pizza for one year, said Liske, and kids can stop by between noon and 2 p.m. April 10 to meet Little Caesar.
