Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

After all but saving the Maryland men’s basketball team’s season Sunday night, all Rasheed Sulaimon wanted was a little love.

In just over two minutes midway through the second half against No. 13 seed Hawaii, the senior guard had a layup, an alley-oop to freshman center Diamond Stone, a steal, an unselfish pass to senior forward Jake Layman for a dunk and the assist on junior forward Robert Carter Jr.’s three-point play. The fifth-seeded Terps had gone from down two to up 12. After the game, a 73-60 win, Sulaimon would be asked about the decisive stretch.

If the media knew how important he had been, his teammates had to as well, right? Right?

“So cold, Kent Auslander.”

“Damn. You, too, Diamond Stone?”

“WAIT GUYS NO STOP I’M TICKLI—”

A couple of things you notice after rewatch No. 63 of that video:

Robert Carter Jr. leaves the party to do his own dance.

Andrew Terrell still has his towel with him.

Jaylen Brantley needs his own towel to cover up a grin, and is probably the team’s worst poker player.

Dion Wiley, knee surgery rehabilitator, is in the middle of a mosh pit.

Stone might have actually punched Sulaimon in the gut.

The only thing this scene lacks is their coach getting in on the fun, too. Because it’s not a jumping party until Mark Turgeon gets jumping.
