From a band at a brewery and baby animals on the farm, here are five things to do this week:

The folk-rock trio featuring singer/songwriter Patrick Spiroff, of Frankfort, with guitarist Daniel Becker and percussionist Bret Figura performs at 7 p.m. Friday at the brewery, where Lost Weekend Rye Barleywine is new on tap.

The farm has recently opened for the spring, which officially arrives Sunday, and baby animals are arriving, too. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $6, free for children under 2.

Vendors will sell a variety of wares from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to raise funds for the special recreation program.

*Bargain Seekers Resale Event, Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W. 127th St.; 708-361-1800; www.palosheights.org

Hosted by the Palos Heights Woman’s Club, the event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will go toward a new LED sign at the Recreation Center.

The exhibition by Jan Meister, a high school educator on the South Side for three decades and a printmaker who uses mixed media and digital imaging in her artwork, is on display to March 29 in celebration of Women’s History Month. A reception will be at 1 p.m. March 22. Galleries are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, until 4 p.m. Fridays.
