If you’ve spent some time on RedEye’s music page, you probably know that Santah is one of my favorite Chicago bands. Last year, the group released one of the best local albums in “Chico,” as well as one of 2015’s best songs and videos with “Here Are My Shells.”

Fortunately, the indie rockers have more in store for listeners with its new “supersingle” called “Who’s In Town?” and it’s exclusively premiering below at RedEye.
As a statement from the band reads, this “supersingle” which you could possibly call an EP, boasts “two unreleased b-sides from the ‘Chico’ sessions, and also features early demos and alternate incantations.” The whole thing’s an incredible listen, complete with songs that borrow lines from Pablo Neruda and Gertrude Stein. However, my favorite is the title track. Listen below.
Order the record on Bandcamp here.
As an added bonus, you can see Santah perform at its “Prom-A-Llama-Boom-Boom” event Friday, June 10 at 1st Ward. Drink punch and remember your teen years by listening to one of Chicago’s finest acts. Sounds like a good time to me. Buy tickets here.
