Though today is Leap Day, it’s also “Business Time” because the Flight of the Conchords announced a new Chicago concert. On Sunday, June 19, comedians Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie (aka New Zealand’s “fourth most popular parody folk group”) will be bringing their hilarious act to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
The concert is part of a larger reunion tour and marks the former HBO stars’ first Chicago stop since Oddball Fest in 2013. The band will also be performing new material on the road. In a press release, McKenzie had this to say about the upcoming trip: “I’m thrilled to get back on the road with over half the original band.” This is all great news.
Tickets, which run from $25 for general admission lawn seats to $45 and $55 for reserved pavilion seats, will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. via jamusa.com.
