Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

One year ago today, the Internet was terrible. A social media post wondering whether a dress was blue and black or white and gold blew up. Because it was such a divisive optical illusion, that dress made the collective Internet forget about everything else including work, relationships, common decency and two llamas on the loose in Arizona. Maybe I’m overblowing it a bit, because nobody forgot about those stupid llamas.

Because it’s a year later and the Internet is still bad, a new optical illusion has surfaced online. Tumblr user PopPunkBlogger wrote, “I hate to make a new blue/black white/gold dress meme but my friend has this jacket and she says it’s white and blue but I see black and brown [please] tell me what you see.” Check out the photo below (click to expand).

What color do you see? Blue and white? Black and brown? Green and tan? Me? I see the color of the Internet’s abyss, and it’s staring back at me. Help.
