Walter Castro, 40, of River Grove, answered a few questions for the Oak Leaves Jan. 17 as he and his family visited the Paul Hruby Ice Arena at Ridgeland Common to skate.
Q: How old’s your little guy?
A: Ethan is 3 months old. He’s our fourth.
Q: Any revelations with a fourth kid? Or is it pretty routine by now?
A: I already know the drill: Diapers, feed ’em, burp ’em, nap time. You might as well enjoy them now. It goes fast.
Q: Any advice for new parents?
A: There’s so much to learn from being a parent. I think the most important thing is to work together as a team with your partner. If you do that, all the other pieces fall into place. Teamwork.
Q: Did you make any New Year’s resolutions?
A: Yeah: Quit smoking. I quit three months before New Year’s, but that’s my resolution. It was a 25-year habit. Or a 25-year addiction.
Q: Last movie you saw?
A: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in 3D. I’m not a Star Wars person, but I still liked it.
Q: Any pets?

A: A 7-year-old miniature schnauzer named Mimi. She doesn’t bark; she howls. She’s a big baby.
Q: Words you live by?
A: My former boss said, “Treat others the way you like to be treated.” And … “There’s enough out there to learn to make a whole new world.”
