An Aurora firm specializing in production of precast concrete will not only ship their materials from an existing facility in Montgomery but will now use the area as a storage yard.

Montgomery Village Board members recently approved a request by ATMI Precast to allow the shipping facility to store precast panels. Under the ordinance, the just over two-acre shipping yard will be allowed to store stacked panels. The stacked panels will not be allowed to exceed 15 feet.

During hearings on the ordinance, planners in the village stressed precautions will be taken to hinder dust kicked up from the trucks carrying the panels to the storage area at the facility.
