As she left the Oak Park Public Library Jan. 2, Kayleigh Vercnocke, 25, of Oak Park, stopped to answer a few questions for the Oak Leaves.

Q: Last movie you saw?

A: Probably “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” I thought it was very good. Not as good as the first, but, you know.

Q: Are you a comic book fan? Who’s your favorite hero or anti-hero?

A: I am a very big comic book fan. Deadpool is my favorite. … He’s a mercenary who has regenerative powers and who can never die. He has a horrible cancer. He’s pretty sassy. He has something funny to say about pretty much everything.

Q: Did you make any New Year’s resolutions?

A: To pretty much keep it level.

Q: Anything you’re looking forward to in 2016?

A: Back to movies and comic books, there’s a Deadpool movie coming out with Ryan Reynolds.

Q: Favorite dish at a local restaurant?

A: George’s Family Restaurant — they’ve got really good pancakes.

Q: Charity of choice?

A: The Oak Park and River Forest Food Pantry.

Q: Any pets?

A: A dog, Payton. She’s an American bulldog/boxer mix. We’ve had her about a year now.

Q: Does she have any quirks?

A: She’s very big, so if she decides, “I’m just going to lie here,” you’re not going to move.
