Vail Resorts announced Tuesday that it purchased Wilmot Mountain ski resort in Wisconsin. Located just across the Wisconsin state line, the resort is a mountain in name only and is a far cry from Vail Resorts’ flagship mountain in Colorado. You would have to stack 15 Wilmot ski resorts on top of each other to add up to the vertical drop of Vail.
Vail Resorts owns 11 other ski locations, including two “urban resorts” near Minneapolis and Detroit. Read more about the purchase here.
