The Chicago Red Stars selected former Glenbrook South standout Jannelle Flaws in the fourth round of the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft.

Flaws, who scored a program-record 54 career goals at Illinois, was the 33rd overall pick on Friday, Jan. 15.

Flaws also holds the Illinois record for career points (122), career goals in Big Ten games (29), career points in Big Ten games (64).

An Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association all-state selection as a junior and senior with the Titans, Flaws played for the Red Stars Reserves in 2014.

The Red Stars finished second in the league standings in 2015 with an 8-3-9 record and lost to eventual champion FC Kansas City 3-0 in the league semifinals.
