A man robbed two Chicago businesses and tried to rob a restaurant during a 7-hour period on Saturday, according to police.

Michael Jackson, 58, of the 9000 block of South Parnell Avenue, has been charged with robbery, aggravated robbery and attempted robbery in connection with hold-ups in the Pilsen, West Loop Gate and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.
Jackson, who appeared in Cook County Circuit Court on Monday, is being held on a $200,000 bond.
Police say Jackson was arrested after he was identified as a robbery suspect who implied he had a handgun while robbing a small retail store in the 400 block of West Armitage Avenue around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigators said the same suspect robbed a convenience store in the 2000 block of North Halsted Street about 8 a.m. and attempted to stick up a restaurant in the 100 block of South Clinton Street at 11:43 a.m. on Saturday.
