An East Chicago man was shot in the leg in Hammond late Friday night, police said.
The 18-year-old victim was wounded in the right calf in the incident that occurred just before midnight in the 800 block of Drackert Street, Hammond police spokesman Lt. Rich Hoyda said in a news release issued Saturday.
The injury is not life-threatening. Police have no suspects at this time.
