player ready...Wilmette police are continuing to investigate the death of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found on a parkway in the early morning of Jan. 9.
A newspaper delivery driver discovered the woman’s body on the 2400 block of Cardinal Lane at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Wilmette Police Deputy Chief Kyle Perkins said Jan. 11. He said the department would not release the woman’s name because an investigation is ongoing.
According to a Jan. 9 police department news release, the cause of death was not immediately apparent “but there were no signs of violence.”
The woman was taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office for further analysis, according to the news release.
Perkins said Jan. 11 there was no estimate on when the investigation would be completed.
