An undercover investigation resulted in the arrest of a man who had been allegedly selling drugs out of a hotel room in River Grove, police say.

Justin Habasek, 27, whose address was a second floor hotel room at the Super 8 Hotel on the 3100 block of River Road, was charged with manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance after he was arrested at the hotel at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 7.

According to River Grove Det. Damian Villagomez, Habasek had allegedly been selling drugs out of the hotel for at least a week.

Villagomez said police monitored the location and made several undercover purchases before the arrest.

“We just noticed a lot of traffic and a lot of movement at the location,” he said. “Our investigation led us to get a search warrant.”

He said once the search warrant was executed, they discovered drugs, money and drug paraphernalia in the room. He said the drug Habasek was allegedly selling was heroin.

Officers from the Franklin Park Police Department assisted with the investigation, Villagomez said. Habasek is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27.
