Glenn, who has been charged as an adult, is nonetheless being held in the Hulse Detention Center in Vernon Hills, according to authorities.
On Dec. 4, students told school administrators and police that Glenn had a gun at school, officials said.
After he was identified inside the classroom through a glass door by school officials, Lincolnshire police arrested him at his desk in the classroom. When they asked him where the gun was, officials said he responded that it was in a bag inside his backpack, which was within his reach.
Police said they found an unloaded .38-caliber chrome revolver in the backpack. No other weapons were discovered in a subsequent search of his locker. Glenn’s motives have not been identified by authorities.
Stevenson spokesman Jim Conrey said last month that Glenn will not finish his education at the school, though he won’t face disciplinary action from Stevenson while still in custody.
