Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men who robbed a Boulder Hill gas station.

According to Deputy Mike Mrozek, two men wearing black masks entered the Marathon gas station, 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass, around 4:20 a.m. Thursday.

The robbers, who were armed with screwdrivers, demanded money from a store clerk. Mrozek said the men were given an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled from the gas station in an unknown direction.

The store’s clerk was not injured.

The robbery is one of several to have occurred throughout the Kendall County and Oswego areas in recent weeks.

Mrozek said that just before Christmas, two masked men held up the Gas Mart USA convenience store on Light Road in Kendall County.

In Oswego, a 7-Eleven store, an Arby’s restaurant, and most recently, a Subway restaurant, have all been targeted by masked suspects demanding cash.

Oswego police said that the Subway, 300 block of Douglas Road, was targeted on Friday evening, around 5:13 p.m.

Oswego Police Department spokesman Cathy Nevara said two masked men entered the store and demanded money from several employees before fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle.

In the Subway incident, the men were not armed, but several suspects in past robberies were reported to have had weapons.
