Two people died in a fiery car crash early Wednesday morning on the Tri-State Tollway near south suburban South Holland, police said.
The single-vehicle accident happened around 4:41 a.m. on the Halsted Street entrance ramp onto southbound Interstate 294, according to Illinois State Police.
The car hit a toll plaza, rolled over and caught on fire, police said.

Two people inside the car, whose genders and ages were not immediately available, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Additional details about the crash were not available.
As of 7 a.m., the southbound Halsted Street ramp was closed as officials investigated the accident.
