An Aurora woman was charged with drunken driving after she left the scene of an Aurora crash Friday night, police said.

According to police reports, Jacqueline Ambriz-Monroy, 44, 800 block of North Gladstone Avenue, Aurora, was involved in a crash around 7:52 p.m. near West Indian Trail and North Lake Street.

Police said Ambriz-Monroy’s vehicle struck two vehicles that were stopped in traffic on West Indian Trail. She then continued driving from the scene and was stopped by police in the 1300 block of California Avenue, driving on a flat tire and broken axle, police said.

Police said Ambriz-Monroy said that she was coming from a local bar, and did not know she hit something until her tire damage was pointed out to her.

She was charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of a crash and improper lane usage, police said.
