Holiday concerts by the Illinois Philharmonic, Northwest Indiana Symphony and City Lights orchestras, madrigal dinners and swing dance parties are among the upcoming events to sing in holiday cheer.

FitzGerald’s at 6615 Roosevelt Road will host Ron and Naomi’s Christmas Special, a sixth annual party with the house band hosted by Ron Lazzeretti, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 ($10); Chicago Grandstand Big Band Holiday Show at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 ($10, $5 for ages 17 and under, free for kids visiting Santa); and Brave Combo’s Holiday Spectacular at 9 p.m. Dec. 18 ($15).
