The Bears host the Broncos on Sunday, minus an injured Peyton Manning, and then five days later venture to Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving to face the rival Packers, the day the cheeseheads will add Brett Favre to the stadium’s Ring of Honor. Even though Favre has retired and Brock Osweiler will start in place of Manning, the careers of the two great quarterbacks loom large over the Bears futility at that marquee position. Manning passed Favre for the lead in all-time passing yards, amassing a monster 71,871 yards. Favre’s career total is 71,838. It takes 25 Bears QBs over 20 years to approach that total yardage – and that august group includes Bears names like Mirer and McNown, Collins and Chandler and Stenstrom and Stewert, Griese and Grossman, and of course, Cutler. Here are all of the the Bears QBs it takes to gain 71,000 yards.
