A 19-year-old woman is facing drunken driving charges after crashing her vehicle in Aurora early Wednesday morning, Aurora police said.
Karla Flores, 19, of Hanover Park, was apparently traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 59 near Ogden Avenue when she drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole at around 1:40 a.m., police said.
She was transported to a Naperville hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Naperville police assisted Aurora officers in the crash investigation. The roadway was closed for just over four hours Wednesday morning, police said.
Flores was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.
