A crash traced to impaired driving partially closed down Route 59 south of Ogden Avenue on the Aurora-Naperville border early Wednesday, but the road was reopened by 7:30 a.m., police said.
A news release issued by the city of Aurora about 4:30 a.m. said a “DUI injury crash” required closure of the northbound lanes between Ogden and Audrey avenues and left just one southbound lane open. But three hours later, the city said the road was open.
ComEd had been called to the scene after the crash.
