Two elderly La Grange Park residents and a caretaker were pulled from a smoke-filled home Friday morning on the 600 block of Robinhood Lane, the fire chief said.
Firefighters responding at 8:11 a.m. found a fire in the kitchen and learned three persons were inside the home, said Fire Chief Dean Maggos.

Police assisted in finding and evacuating the residents, including one person in a wheelchair, while firefighters used a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, Maggos said.
The three people declined treatment or to be taken to a hospital, he said.
The cause of the fire appears to be as a result of the stove being left on inadvertently, igniting oil on the stove top, the chief said. Damage was confined to the stove and microwave, a cabinet and wall above and a lighting fixture, he said.
Damage to the kitchen combined with smoke and soot throughout the home is estimated at $6,800, the chief said.
Maggos commended Police Sgt. Joe Renc and officer Stephanie Christoferson for their help in rescuing the residents and providing support.
The La Grange and Western Springs fire departments assisted in responding.
