The Montgomery Village Board has approved plans by Aurora University to build an athletic complex in the village.

The facility will be built at the old Wolf Run Golf Course at 1700 W. Jericho Road.

The proposed complex would include locker rooms and training facilities; a 3.5-acre baseball stadium; a 1.3-acre softball stadium; a 4.7-acre track and field stadium; a 1.6-acre soccer stadium; and a 1.6-acre multipurpose field. The complex would have more than 300 parking spaces.

The attorney for Aurora University working on the project, Bruce Goldsmith with the Dykema Law Firm, said the university has great hopes for the complex and said in the future additional land adjacent to the current site may be included in the project.

There is no specific timetable at the moment for when the project will begin.
