
Patrick Kane has three Stanley Cups to go with the Calder Trophy he won as NHL rookie of the year in 2008 and the Conn Smythe Trophy he earned as playoff MVP in 2013. If this keeps up, he might have a Hart Trophy as league MVP before long.
The Blackhawks winger was named the NHL’s first star of the week for the period ending Nov. 8. He was tied for first in the league in that stretch with four goals and led the NHL with five assists and nine points as the Hawks went 2-1-1.
Dallas center Tyler Seguin and Montreal goaltender Mike Condon were the second and third stars of the week, respectively.
Entering Monday, Kane and Seguin are tied for the NHL lead in points with 23 apiece.
The Blackhawks are back on the ice Thursday when they host New Jersey.
