A Montgomery man is facing drug paraphernalia and weapons charges after police were called to Hesed House in Aurora for reports of someone dealing drugs outside the shelter.
When police arrived at the shelter, 600 block of South River Street, around 10 a.m. Monday, they found Chad Brainerd, 27, 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, in his vehicle and began to question him about the report, Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said.
A search of Brainerd’s vehicle then turned up a hypodermic needle and a spring-operated knife, police said.
He was charged with possession of the needle, as well as felony unlawful use of a weapon, Ferrelli said.
